Real Red Elements of Style

Stamps: Stampin’ Up! Elements of Style
Paper: Stampin’ Up! Real Red, Crumb cake and soft suede.
Ink: Stampin’ Up! Soft Suede, Brocade Blue, and Handsome Hunter
Accessories: Stampin’ Up White Gel Pen, Markers –Real Red, Certainly Celery, Old Olive, and Dusty Durango, sponges, Real Red 5/8” grosgrain ribbon, and Log Cabin Smooch Spritz.

Started out by cutting a piece of 3 7/8”x 5 1/8” of crumb cake card stock.
Stamped the flower stamp using Soft Suede ink.

Loaded the Hummingbird stamp with Brocade Blue and then patted my Handsome Hunter ink pad on the head and tail of the stamp before stamping it.

Colored the darkest parts of the flowers with a Real Red marker.
Colored the leaves and stems with a Certainly Celery Marker.

Added the Dusty Durango marker to the rest of the flower.
Added Old Olive marker to the darkest parts of the leaves.

With a White Gel Pen I added white to the bird’s throat, and some spots here and there on the flowers.
Spritzed the image with the log cabin smooch spritz.

I then sponged the edges of the Crumb Cake with soft suede ink.
Tied the Real Red 5/8” grosgrain ribbon around the Crumb Cake.
Adhered the main image panel to a 5 1/4″x 4” Soft Suede panel.

Stamped the flourish stamp using Soft Suede ink to the Real Red base.
Added a shadow to the birds underside and wing using an Old Olive Marker.
Colored in the birds eye with a Basic Black marker.

Here is the finished card measuring 5 ½”x 4 ¼”.
